Important Dates
June 1, 2026 (12:00 p.m.) - Candidate filing deadline for the Primary/General Election. Candidates must file with the Kansas Secretary of States Office. (Precinct committee candidates file with theElection Office).
October 13, 2026 – Last day to register to vote.
October 14, 2026 – Advance by-mail ballots begin mailing.
October 17, 2026 – Advance in-person voting begins.
November 2, 2026 (12:00 p.m.) – Advance in-person voting ends at 12:00 Noon (Election Office Only).
November 3, 2026 – Primary Election Day. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
November 5, 2026 (10:00 a.m. until completed) – Selection of contests and precincts for the post-election audit.
November 6, 2026 (10:00 a.m. until completed) – Post-election audit.
November 12, 2026 (10:00 a.m. until completed) – Canvass of the 2026 Primary Election.
November 13, 2026 – Post-election public test of voting equipment.
November 13, 2026 (5:00 p.m.) – Deadline to request a recount
Voters in Wyandotte County have three options to vote:

Applications for advance by mail ballots are available online, and can be returned to our office by mail, fax, or e-mail.

Voters can visit one of our early voting locations. Locations and hours are available online.

On November 3, 2026 you must visit your assigned Polling Place to vote on election day. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can find your assigned Polling Place by using the online voter look up tool Voter View.
